Environmental Initiatives

Through ongoing training and communication we are getting total buy in from our staff and that of our customers. We have formed a number of initiatives, which include:

• We ensure that all waste generated on their sites is recycled correctly using the correct collection points
• We ensure we are using the correct chemicals for cleaning and that the correct amounts are used in accordance with H&S and manufacturers guidelines.
• We return all large packaging material to our depots for reuse after delivery
• We ensure stock is rotated and used to minimise out of date “throw away”.
• Use local suppliers, where possible to minimise transportation and to provide cost effective Group logistics

In order to reduce the enormous number of miles used in order to ship goods around the world we have taken steps to reduce this by:

• Buying from local suppliers wherever possible.
• Buying machines in bulk.
• Buying products / ingredients in bulk to reduce shipping.
• Setting up centralised distribution centres where possible.
• Using specialist distribution to deliver in eco friendly vehicles.
